Sam Darnold had his struggles in college and then his struggles with the Jets ( granted the team was bad ) if you look at most his interceptions he had a clean pocket or was trying to force a big play under pressure . To me he’s just as unproven as this years rookie class of quarterbacks except the fact he struggled more than them in college and obviously his career in the NFL have been horrible so far

I think both Joe Brady and Sam Darnold have something to prove together. Carolinas offense was horrible last year, absolutely horrible. Brady is out to prove his one year at LSU was not a fluke, and Darnold is out to prove he isnt a bust. If both men are driven to prove people wrong, Carolina is going to win some games. With the addition of Bouye, Reddick, Perryman, Melvin, Fox on defense Carolina has improved their defense 10 fold. All Darnold has to do is score 25 touchdowns in the air this year and Carolina could easily go 10-6. I think Carolina has a team that could give Tampa some fits.

Sam Darnold wasn't a rookie under Adam the Taco Gazer Gase, he was drafted in 2018 and played his rookie season under Todd Bowles. Darnold was a second and third year player under Gase. Just saying that was not accurate. Gase sucked and Sam under performed for three straight years, so some of the failure is on him as well. One would think a true franchise QB would have shown more than occasional flashes in three seasons. He had turnover problems in College, and that continued in the pros, so a portion of his failures as a Jets are on him as well as the coaching and talent level around him. I hope he turns his career around though, he's a great guy with a rock steady personality, maybe solid coaching and talent around him will do the trick.

Sam Darnold stinks as a quarterback. He is not as talented as these so called analyst say he is. Dude was a turnover machine in college and now on the pros. How was Sam the 3rd overall pick in the draft. No more excuses people. If the panthers do not make the playoffs he is a bust. The NFL fans make excuse after excuse for certain quarterbacks.

Gase is an atrocious HC no question but Darnold’s achilles is, & always been T.O.’s. None of these so called “experts” bring up Darnold leading NCAA with FUMBLES (8) & 21 Total T.O. 2nd in the nation his last year @ USC. None of these “experts” bring up Darnold throwing 39 INT in 38 games with the Jets; not including fumbles lost. The conflict of interest is real! So pretty please with sugar on top, stop buffing Darnold’s mushroom tip already yes!?! Ridiculous! The bias is strong on this one.

I am not for sure if this is possible but if so, I think this should happen. They draft Justin Fields, trade Darnold to Seattle for Wilson. Have Fields sit under Wilson and learn from Wilson. Then when Wilson time is up (maybe when team decide Fields is ready), you plug Fields right in. Seattle considers this trade because the one thing everyone has said is Seattle doesn’t know what they are going to do at QB. Sam would answer that question
