Idk...I think Matt Nagy is a good coach, but Pace is terrible. He’s passed on Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Deshaun Watson(may have dodged a PR bullet, but the talent), and a few others. I think Nagy just does what he can with what he’s given-and Pace hasn’t given him anything...

Bears first step. Fire coach and GM. Second step hire Head Coach Eric Bieniemy,. For GM I'm not sure who the best choice but it certainly has to be better than what they have (so long as said GM has never been employed by either the Texans or Jets).

They could use those picks to trade up 7 or 8 picks and get a Lance or Fields, many sports talking heads will give you a good argument those guys have a much better chance of becoming a Pro Bowler than Darnold. The Darnold narrative spins around Gase not him being incompliant and he still has Russel Wilson in him.

I've never understood this narrative that Teddy doesn't turn the ball over. This year he threw 15 TDs to 11INTs. That's actually a really trash ratio. His career ratio is 1.47:1, league average is 1.8:1 and no one in the top third of the league is below 2:1.

I remember the Bears started Rick Mirer one time. They do give quarterbacks a second chance. Just draft Kyle Trask or Mac Jones at the 20th overall pick. Especially, Kyle Trask is a steal.

It’s obvious that Nagy didn’t want him, since Pace does whatever Nagy wants, example, sign Nick Foles, dump Trubinsky he didn’t want to coach, sign Andy Dalton to be the starter. Nagy is now calling the plays this season, so, he can do his poor man’s KC offense. Pace isn’t going to trade for Teddy, based on the obvious elephant in the room, in my opinion.

Trubisky is overhated bc the expectations that were set for him & Naggy not wanting to coach him (he stopped playing to Mitch’s strengths... which is his job!) Mitch is top 10 in most stats & made the playoffs twice in his 1st 3 years. For most QBs, esp in a disfunctional franchise, & behind a bad o-line (among other roster holes), that would otherwise be considered successful.
