Not sure why you draft Etienne when Robinson was undrafted and a top 10 RB last year. You can get a 3rd down back in the 3rd or 4th round. Most full time starters are 2nd rounders

Tons of confidence in Lawrence and that’s even if it takes a season or so to surround him with a solid all around team. He’s ready like Manning was and his first yr was really rough as well. Took some building around him. Lawrence will be good from jump like manning, just better as team improves around him. Fields has a few questions? What happened at Georgia? Were rumors true about leadership issues or other things? Needs to be seen in same system longer then the 2 stunts at places. Not as confident in Fields.

I think they did it to make Trevor feel comfortable from the jump. I sure don't mind having Etienne, but they have other more pressing needs.

Baker came in Week 3 down 14 points when starter Tyrod Taylor got injured. We were 0-1-1 at the time and the previous season we went 0-16. He came in went 17 for 23 for 200 yards and won us the game. It was that game that changed the direction of our organization. The only other monumental game since was when we went into Pittsburgh last year when Juju was saying "the Browns are the Browns" and "the Browns" put a beat down on the Steelers. Its not about if Justin should start or not. Its about him being ready for when the moment comes. You can either prepare and be ready or not. Just ask Mike Vick. He told the media we wasnt suppose to play so he wasnt prepared and he was thrown in a game and because he wasnt prepared he was cut right after. Justin just needs to be ready.

I truly believe starting is never bad for the player. It's only is it bad for the team. They bring up Mahomes that he needed a year of development. Nope. Rookie TD record.

@John Lewis My point is the notion that Lance needs to sit is idiotic. If he was in any other draft than this one he would have been QB1 or 2 and started right away. Jimmy G is not good. Worst case scenario Lance is not as accurate but way more difficult to game plan for.

Agree with Key. the Jags 2nd pick of the first round should have been best OL, best Def player, or a top tier player that slipped. Etienne isn't a bad pick , it just wasn't the best pick. Jags did pretty good in the draft it just wasn't an A to A+ draft for us despite the picks. B isn't bad, but has room to have been better. For Jax it's a step in the right direction but, for the Jags to really come up they need to draft far better than they have in the past. It's a new day with Urban, but the time is now to start building and turn this organization around for the positive and stop being bottom dwellers. Go Jags!! Go luck.

#1) 28 touchdowns, 1 interception #2) Played in a pro style offense #3) Took more snaps from under center than any of the other QBs drafted. That's important because that's a huge part of the 49ers offense. The Bears had to teach Trubisky that in the NFL because he never ran it in college. #4) The 49ers said Lance had the best mental retention of plays of the QBs they tested in the draft. The difference, Nagy said he could not use his full playbook because Trubisky had trouble mentally retaining the full playbook. #5) The 49ers have said a lot of the plays Lance ran in college are similar to ones in their playbook. Again the difference Nagy's playbook was completely different from the type of plays Trubisky ran in college. I could give you more examples but I'm tired of typing. Oh and by the way 🐻 ⬇️!!!!!!

Trevor will start out the gate because he’s the number one pick in the draft it would be crazy if Lawrence didn’t start the season but in the case of Fields as a bears fan I hope they allow him to sit for a couple games before he takes over

2018 and 2019 so it hasn't been too long and although moral might be lower, roquan is going to continue to dominate and Monty and Mooney are going to explode this year. If our o line holds up and mack has another great year its possible to have a great year

As much as i would like to see the kid start this year it would b better if we sat him out a year. I wouldnt b mad if we see him out there this season tho 😎

Trevor Lawrence is the only one I see panning out from a skill standpoint. Probably won’t lead to team success soon but he’s gonna good. Fields, Wilson and Lance I think may bust. Mac Jones was the safest pick outside of Lawrence. He’ll never be elite but he also won’t be bad enough to bust, just average.

@Jay Jay he reminds me of Kaepernick which isn't a good thing. Hope I'm wrong but we'll just have to wait and see.

@Nicholpickle to me Lance doesn't look like a NFL caliber QB but things have happened

@Jay Jay I gotcha lol yeah I wanted my Niners to take him so I was pretty upset when we passes on him. Not sure what people think Lance can do that Fields can't. Hope Lance pans out but he's not who I would've picked.

@Jay Jay I do. I think you guys have been a QB away from being dangerous for awhile. The Bears definitely got the steal of the draft imo.
